To capture Milwaukee’s most unique wedding desserts, we teamed up with Craig John Photography and Events to a T for this this amazing photo shoot. We hope it captures the true deliciousness these sweet artisans can bring to your wedding. Enjoy!

Oh macarons how we love you. Not only are these little treats delicious, they can be made in varying colors. And you can be sure Miss Molly uses natural ingredients to make them too!

2. Gelato + Gelato Cart = Happiness (Cold Spoons Gelato)
It’s officially a given that gelato is delicious, but gelato served out of the cutest, little gelato cart from Cold Spoons Gelato, expertly styled in this photo by Events to a T, is pure joy. Add in chocolate dipped cones for an added treat.

Oh Press, you are geniuses at making waffles more delicious than one thought possible. The amazing combos featured above include blueberries & fresh whipped cream, strawberries & fresh whipped cream, and lemon curd custard & raspberries. Seriously so good!

6. Cranking Out The Doughnut Classics With a Twist (Cranky Al’s)
Cranky Al’s has been a Wauwatosa institution for fresh made doughnuts for years. Their selection is made up of all the classics like crullers, glazed, yeast, fritters, long johns, all made by hand using fresh, local ingredients… and boy are they tasty.

7. Ooo La La… A Naked Cake (Miss Molly’s Pastries)
The elusive Naked Cake. Not everyone makes these in Milwaukee, but they’ve grown to be super popular and Miss Molly’s Pastries naked cakes are pure perfection. Check out thise, styled with floral from Milwaukee Flower Co. No fondant to see here folks.

8. Popsicles at a Wedding? Most Def (Cold Spoons Gelato)
Popsicles at a wedding? Yes Please! Cold Spoons Gelato offers popsicles from this cute, portable bike cart. And since most Milwaukee weddings happen in summer, why the hell not have popsicles!

9. A Spin on Donut Cakes (Cranky Al’s)
Donut cakes? We’d love to see a few cake cutting photos featuring these bad boys from Cranky’s. Possibly one of my favorite photos of this shoot at Turner Hall. I mean, who else has a turntable in their breakroom!!!

10. Delicious Vegan Doughnuts (Holey Moley)
Vegan doughnuts aren’t just a thing thrown on the menu at Holey Moley. Their wide array of flavors include chocolate cherry, raspberry, pistachio and so much more… and they taste so good your unsuspecting guests won’t even know they’re eating cruelty-free treats, unless you want them to know of course. (Side note, Holey Moley also offers gluten-free options).

Offering a deliciously mind-boggling 60+ cheesecake “mini cupcakes,” Erica Elia, Classy Girl’s owner, has made cheesecake not only portable, but small enough to allow you and your guests to have “just one more.”

Press Waffles has been creating a loyal fan base at area Farmer’s Markets and events throughout Milwaukee… and you can have them at your wedding too!!! It’s an overall experience watching these Belgian Liège Waffles made right in front of you.

14. The Sophisticated Frozen Treat Bar (Cold Spoons Gelato)
So basically, if you can imagine something made of gelato, Sandy Murphy, owner of Cold Spoons Gelato has you covered. Here she has created delicious and beautiful gelato and sorbetto bars. Yum!

15. Truffles and Brownies and Treats, Oh My (Classy Girl Cupcakes)
Classy Girl has created a simple option to “build your own” dessert buffet online. Offering some super unique treats including butterfinger brownie and birthday cake rice crispie treat, along with cupcakes and truffles, it’s sure to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth.

Seriously, who doesn’t love doughnut holes! Always providing options, Holey Moley offers these tasty gems of deliciousness in a wide selection of flavors too! Gelato is always a crowd-pleaser, and offering sorbetto (sorbet) is a way to cater to your non-dairy friends. Both of these frozen treats are made from scratch by Cold Spoons Gelato using fresh ingredients.

Cupcakes were the original pioneer pushing wedding desserts beyond traditional wedding cake, and Classy Girl has led the way since. Still want to “cut the cake” for photos? We find these Cold Spoons Gelato sandwiches to be a sophisticated version of an ice cream sandwich. Have the edges dipped in chocolate and sprinkes (or jimmies if you are old school Milwaukee) and you’ve got a cold treat that is both delicious and pretty.
