Sometimes a new business opens up and you just have to say “wow.” That’s how we felt when Good City Brewing opened on the East Side. But once they told us they were adding a wedding venue, we really got excited!
We think brides and grooms will be really excited about Good City Hall too. From the urban location, tasty craft beer, awesome local ownership and the amazing rooftop deck, Good City Brewing just rocks. They not only celebrate our “Good City” in their name, but they make a commitment to always “Seek the Good” and give back to Milwaukee.
All About Good City Hall
We love everything about Good City Brewing – the event space, the modern design, delicious food and amazing beer. Its location on Farwell Ave., just south of North Ave. puts it in a great nightlife spot where you won’t find many other wedding venues, but tons of action.

There are four distinct areas at Good City – the Taproom, the Draft Room, Good City Hall, and their amazing rooftop deck.
Good City Hall works great for receptions and rehearsal dinners, with a capacity of 130 seated. The rooftop deck can be used for your wedding ceremony and guests are free to use it during your event too (note that it is open to the public as well).
And don’t forget you are at one of Milwaukee’s top local breweries – so please, make sure to schedule a brewery tour for your guests. We promise, they’ll love it!

Ceremony Options
You can either have your ceremony inside Good City Hall or do it on their rooftop deck. If you choose the rooftop deck, you’ll need to conclude by 1 pm. The rooftop deck has capacity for 100-120 ceremony guests.
We also love the idea of doing your ceremony in Good City Hall, then heading to the taproom for beers while they flip the room.

Catering and Drinks
We have a lot of experience eating and drinking at Good City, and we think it’s fabulous!! Their Chef, Guy Davies, came from Bartolotta’s Rumpus Room and continues to create from-scratch, delectable food.
Beer pairing dinners, fish fries and unique plated dinners are all on tap at Good City Hall. The Chef can also custom-design a menu based on your vision, dietary needs or just your favorite food.

All of Good City’s beer is brewed on site, and they have an amazing bar package that lets you and your guests try them all! FYI – our favorite is their Risk IPA 🙂
Their bar package includes all Good City beers, soda and coffee. You can bring in your own wine, cider and a max of two pre-mixed/batch cocktails (check with your event coordinator for all rules). Cash bar is also available.
Location, Parking and Hotels
One of the things we love about Good City is their location on Milwaukee’s vibrant East Side. It’s a great area of the city, with amazing art, bars/restaurants and parks for your guests to explore.

There’s several options for guest parking that includes nearby lots and street parking. There are 40 free spots behind Good City, but they are first come, first served. For an additional fee, there’s a 100 space lot directly across the street from the Brewery.
Hotels on the Lower East Side and Downtown are just a short Lyft, Uber or shuttle ride away. Check our transportation page for options on buses and shuttles.
