As soon as this couple saw The Delafield Hotel, they knew they had found their perfect venue. From there they went on to budget for the rest of their wedding – paying particular attention to the things that were most important to them. We think the couple did an amazing job for $33,000!
As always, we were excited to hear they used two Married In Milwaukee Family Members: The Delafield Hotel and Sound By Design. Read on to learn all about their wedding, their vendors and their budgeting process.

A Note from the Bride and Groom
We asked the bride and groom to tell us about their planning and budgeting process, and this is what they had to say:
When planning our wedding, we knew budgeting was going to be very important. Overall, we wanted the perfect reception venue. Once we toured The Delafield Hotel, we knew that was our place. It was so perfect for us, so we went with that and set the rest of our budget from there.
We also had some areas that we knew we wanted to spend more money on than others. Having a great DJ (which Sound by Design was incredible), great food and plenty of drinks for our guests, and an awesome photographer were things that were important to us.
So we budgeted a little more money for those things. Some other things were not as important to us, like a florist (because our church and reception venue were already so beautiful), so we did not budget as much money towards those things.
Planning and budgeting for a wedding can certainly be stressful, but in the end we had to look at what was important to us. In the end, people will not remember every little detail, so we tried to focus on the bigger components of the day. When it was all finished, everything was perfect and we could not have been happier with all of our vendors.
