The Light the Hoan initiative is a collective of local business and civic leaders who have joined forces to illuminate the Hoan Bridge with programmable LED lights. This exciting project allows people to “purchase” a light and dedicate it to someone they love or even commemorate an exciting life event such as a wedding or anniversary. Learn More about the Light the Hoan Initiative
A group of Milwaukeeans want to light up the Hoan Bridge and we think that’s pretty cool! Their mission is to “illuminate the Hoan Bridge in recognition of the countless unseen or under-celebrated acts of kindness, generosity and service that give our city hope.”
And yes, you can help – For as little as $25, you can buy a bulb and add a dedication to their website. This could be a great idea for a wedding memento (hint, hint engaged couples). And how cool will it be to remember your wedding day each time you drive over the illuminated Hoan Bridge.
