When you walk into The Rivulet’s beautiful lobby, you’ll be surrounded with historic charm emphasized by the amazing grand staircase. Enter the venue space and the historic charm continues with modern touches sprinkled throughout. Think “warm and comfortable” with beautiful arched doorways, original Cream City brick and dimmable chandeliers.
The thousands of plants help bring nature into the space and connect it to the river, which is located right out the back door. Overlooking the river you’ll find a dedicated patio space and the Riverwalk. Note that you can add a bar to the patio for a fun social space right on the river – you and your guests will love it!
You’ll have plenty of room for your wedding at The Rivulet, which has capacity for 225 seated guests.. Combined with the lobby and patio, there’s plenty of spaces to do your cocktail hour and ceremony.

Catering and Drinks
The Rivulet has an open catering policy, meaning you can choose any Milwaukee caterer you like. They do have a list of preferred vendors, so check that out for some suggestions.
When it comes to drinks, The Rivulet offers a full service bar run by Two Birds Event Group. And the great news is you can customize it however you like.
Love local craft beer or spirits? Stock your bar with your favorites. Prefer a specific wine? They can bring it in for you. Plus, The Rivulet provides experienced bartenders to keep the drinks flowing and your guests happy.
Ceremony Options
There’s several ways you can do your ceremony at The Rivulet. The Lobby with its grand staircase is a stunning choice for 150 guests or less.
Inside couples typically use the gorgeous plant wall as a backdrop and some use the windows overlooking the patio and Riverwalk.
Our favorite setup is doing your ceremony in front of the plant wall and using the lobby for cocktail hour during the room flip. Whatever you choose, The Rivulet and their experienced staff will make it happen!
Location, Parking and Hotels
One of the top benefits of hosting your wedding at The Rivulet is its location in the Historic Third Ward. There’s no better neighborhood to show off our city to your guests, with restaurants, hotels and nightlife all within walking distance.
For parking, Two Birds works with the Buffalo Street Garage, which is a block and a half away. You can go through Two Birds for this and they will coordinate everything and get you a discount. Other options include hotel shuttles, valet and rideshare services like Uber and Lyft.
There’s some great hotels within walking distances – in particular, The Journeyman and Homewood Suites are used by several Rivulet couples. But pretty much all downtown Milwaukee hotels are close, especially when using rideshare or shuttle services.
