1. The Society
The The Society was originally a bank where the top 7 Milwaukee brewing companies kept their money. Now this 1913 building is spectacular for weddings. We love the vaults (2 of which you can use) and the large “MKE” letters that originally hung on City Hall. Read more about weddings at The Society here.

2. River Valley Historic Venue
The River Valley Historic Venue is a newly renovated wedding venue nestled in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley. 3. The Rivulet
Perfectly situated along the Riverwalk in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward you’ll find The Rivulet. Inside, you’ll be captivated by a grand staircase, elegant arched doorways, and original Cream City brick that adds timeless character.

4.Pearl & Cade
Located in the Historic Third Ward, Pearl & Cade is a modern and bright venue. Add in its clean and elegant aesthetic and flexible spaces, and you have a historic venue in the heart of it all!

5. The Fitzgerald
Tucked away in a historic neighborhood on Milwaukee’s lower east side, The Fitzgerald is full of history. The Fitzgerald was built in 1874 as the family home for Great Lakes ship captain Robert Patrick Fitzgerald and has a capacity of 175 seated guests. Read more about weddings at The Fitzgerald here.

6. The Bucyrus Club & Event Center

7. Turner Hall Ballroom
Turner Hall is definitely one of our favorite historic Milwaukee wedding venues. Its raw, unrefined space was first built in 1882. It has survived two fires and pushed on to become one of Milwaukee’s best places to host to concerts and weddings. Read more about weddings at Turner Hall here.

8. Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery
We love the very Milwaukee history of Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery. Built in 1858, Best Place has two venue spaces and parts of it were originally the Pabst Brewery corporate offices. In fact, Captain Frederick Pabst’s office and desk are intact and can be incorporated into your wedding. Read more about weddings at Best Place here.

9. Central Standard Craft Distillery
Located in an 1874 building in downtown Milwaukee, Central Standard Craft Distillery is an amazing historic venue! Ample Cream City brick abounds in the venue, with historical elements throughtout – not to mention an amazing rooftop patio! Read more about weddings at Central Standard here.

10. Onesto
Located in Milwaukee’s Third Ward, Onesto is a historic and hip wedding venue. Built in 1895, its NYC loft-style decor is right at home in the Third Ward and we absolutely love the space. Read more about Onesto weddings here.

11. The Rotunda
The Rotunda was built in 1913 as the first federally built and owned Waukesha Post Office and later renovated as a branch banking facility. The circular coffered dome, which features a beautiful stained glass skylight, is a major highlight of this historic wedding venue.

12. Brixton’s Turn
Brixton’s Turn is a new wedding venue in Milwaukee’s Harbor District that’s currently under renovation and booking for spring 2026. Built in 1917, this Cream City brick carriage house is now a modern, industrial-inspired space for weddings and events that can accommodate over 400 guests.

13. Abloom Farm
Located on a 17 acre pine tree farm, Abloom Farm is a beautiful wedding retreat complete with two rustic and authentic barns and an expansive homestead with room for 20 people.

14. The Cooperage
Built in the late 1800’s, The Cooperage was originally a barrel manufacturer. Now it’s a hot spot for all types of events – weddings included! Read more about Cooperage weddings here.

15. The Gage
The Gage is a unique historic, yet modern industrial venue located in West Allis. Featuring classic cream city brick, a glass roof, and bridal suites – this 10,000+ square foot space can easily host up to 300 guests. Read more about weddings at The Gage here.

16. Historic Courthouse 1893
Waukesha’s Historic Courthouse 1893 showcases stunning Romanesque architecture across it’s two levels. Located in downtown Waukesha, this elegant venue can host up to 300 guests and is catered by the fabulous Chef Jacks. Read more about weddings at Waukesha’s Historic Courthouse here.

17. The Clybourn
The Clybourn is located in a beautifully renovated early 1900s building on the Near West Side. Blending modern design with vintage charm, The Clybourn has capacity of up to 175 guests.

18. Story Hill Firehouse
Story Hill Firehouse is located on in the Story Hill neighborhood of Milwaukee. Built in 1927, The bungalow style firehouse was one of five of this type in the Milwaukee area. Original wood trim throughout, terrazzo floors, original wood lockers and 15 foot ceilings make this a spectacular historic venue. Read more about weddings at Story Hill Firehouse here.

19. Cafe Hollander – Tosa
If you’ve ever visited Wauwatosa’s charming village, you’ve no doubt seen and/or been to Cafe Hollander Tosa. We aren’t sure of the building’s history but one thing is for sure, it’s a gorgeous space. Their upstairs provides for a private event space that works perfect for weddings, with plenty of beir and food to go around.

20. The Barley Room
Milwaukee’s affordable and historic venue — The Barley Room — is a must-see! Located in the historic Pabst Brewery Complex in Milwaukee’s Brewery District, check it out for an affordable historic wedding venue.

21. Villa Terrace
Originally built as a family home in 1923, Villa Terrace resembles an Italian Renaissance Villa. It has one of the best views of Milwaukee’s lakefront, which is why so many couples choose it for their outdoor ceremony.

22. Dresden Castle
Dresden Castle is a historic former church located in Cudahy, two blocks from Lake Michigan. Historical elements include vaulted ceilings and 14’ tall original stain glass windows.

23. Red Circle Inn
Described as “Wisconsin’s oldest supper club”, The Red Circle Inn can host weddings for up to 240 guests.

24. The George and Madcap Lounge
The George and Madcap Lounge are two stunningly diverse spaces holding court in the recently renovated National Block building in Walker’s Point. 25. The Historic Pritzlaff Building
Built in 1875 as Pritzlaff Hardware, The Historic Pritzlaff Building is now one of Milwaukee’s hottest wedding venues. With multiple unique warehouse spaces, cream city brick and preserved cast iron columns, having a Priztlaff Building wedding is both historic and awesome.

26. The Grain Exchange
One of Milwaukee’s most-amazing historic venues, The Grain Exchange is a favorite of ours. This 1880 downtown building once housed Milwaukee’s Chamber of Commerce and as an added bonus, its exclusive caterer is Bartolotta’s.

27. The Loft on Broadway
The Loft on Broadway is located on the top floor of an 1893 building in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward. This loft-style, cream city brick space always impresses.

28. The Hilton Milwaukee City Center
Built in 1927 in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, The Hilton is a classic art deco hotel. As Milwaukee’s largest hotel, it can host weddings with up to 500 guests and even has an outdoor space perfect for ceremonies.

29. Charles Allis Art Museum
Built in 1911 as a home for the Charles Allis (first president of the Allis-Chalmers Company) family, the Charles Allis Art Museum is a hidden gem in Milwaukee’s Brady Street area.

30. Wisconsin Club
Built in 1848, the Wisconsin Club takes elegance to a new level. We love the hand-carved wood throughout, especially the staircase.

31. The Pfister Hotel
We are big fans of weddings at the historic Pfister Hotel. Built in 1893, The Pfister has always been about luxury and elegance and even hosts the largest hotel collection of Victorian art in the world.

32. Milwaukee Athletic Club
The Milwaukee Athletic Club‘s current location was built in 1917. Spanning 12 floors, with hotel facilities and a rooftop deck, it continues to be a historic wedding venue located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee for members and nonmembers alike.

33. Engine Company No. 3
Built in 1904 as a fire house for the Walker’s Point neighborhood, today’s Engine Company No. 3 is a unique private event space. Look throughout the space and you’ll find remnants of the building’s past life on the walls. This historic venue is great for weddings and rehearsal dinners, so check it out!

34. Mercantile Hall
We got the chance to visit Mercantile Hall for a wedding a few years ago, and wow, it was amazingly cool. This former retail building located in historic Downtown Burlington was re-vamped into a wedding venue in 2017. Historic charm is abound in the space with original wood floors and exposed cream city brick fit with any style.

35. St. James 1868
When you’re talking historic Milwaukee venues mixed with modern flair, you have check out St. James 1868. A former church built in 1868, the space has been transformed to host spectacular weddings.

36. Tripoli Shrine Center
Completed in 1928, the Tripoli Shrine Center is an architectural replica of India’s Taj Mahal. Walk inside, and you’ll be amazed by the detail throughout.

37. The Factory on Barclay
The Factory on Barclay is located in a historic 1909 Cream City brick building, which also houses The Original Cheesehead Factory. This stunning venue offers 7,800 square feet of space, featuring soaring second-story ceilings, expansive bay windows, a spacious mezzanine, and a large wraparound bar.
