
The Third Ward is one of Milwaukee’s favorite neighborhoods – so why not get married there?!? Check out this list of Third Ward wedding venues to find a perfect spot for your big day!
Note that this list overlaps a little with our article on Walker’s Point wedding venues, but that’s okay – both neighborhoods rock!! We tried to only include Third Ward venues and those venues that are a short walk (about a block) from the Third Ward.
Also note that this list just includes Third Ward venues where you can have a wedding reception, however, the Third Ward is home to numerous spots you can have a rehearsal dinner too – check out our list of Milwaukee rehearsal dinner venues to find some!
1. The Starling

The Starling is a gorgeous waterfront venue located in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. With its prime location on the Riverwalk, it offers a unique and unforgettable setting for weddings and events. The space includes modern touches such as a large botanical moss wall and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide breathtaking views of the water. The large bar is perfect for socializing with your guests, as is the huge patio overlooking the river. And bonus, it’s run by the amazing folks at Two Birds Event Group, so you know you’ll be taken care of!

2. Onesto

If you want to be right in the heart of the Third Ward, then Onesto is your spot! We love their second floor space with an expansive bar, cream city brick and an ambiance that can’t be beat.

3. Broken Bat Brewing Co.

Broken Bat Brewing Co. is located on the edge of the Third Ward and Walker’s Point and can seat up to 160 for your wedding. It has a unique atmosphere and offers a diverse assortment of craft beers and craft hard seltzers for you and your guests to enjoy. You can reserve their second floor private event space or one of their semi-private event spaces for rehearsal dinners or other events.

4. Milwaukee Public Market

A favorite spot for locals and tourists alike is the Milwaukee Public Market. It’s an amazing asset to our city and can make for an awesomely unique wedding!

5. Northern Lights Event Venue

Northern Lights Event Venue is a ultramodern space that we adore! This two-story venue boasts an expansive bar area, a generous outdoor patio, and a second-floor lounge and balcony, all providing stunning riverfront vistas of the Milwaukee skyline. It’s an ideal setting for intimate weddings and rehearsal dinners!

6. Filament

Filament is a great venue run by great folks (The Ivy House/Starling/Milwaukee Airwaves owners run this space too). With unique elements like windows overlooking the train tracks and a large bar and open space floor plan, this venue is perfect for weddings and parties. While not technically a Third Ward wedding venue, Filament has this cool tunnel under the train tracks that makes the Third Ward a short walk.

7. Central Standard Craft Distillery

We really love Central Standard’s new wedding venue! While not technically in the Third Ward, this venue is located a block away on Clybourn Street. The historic building was built in 1847 and features a rooftop patio, cream city brick and will also host Central Standard’s tasting room and a restaurant. 8. Black Swan Plant No. 4

9. Kimpton Journeyman Hotel

The only hotel in the Third Ward makes the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel stand out as a Third Ward Wedding venue. But the thing that really sets them apart is their awesome rooftop patio. They are also a great spot for wedding room blocks.

10. The Italian Community Center

If you’re having a large wedding in the Third Ward, then the Italian Community Center is your spot. With capacity for up to 700 seated, you’ll have no problem bringing in all of your family and friends. And bonus – Bartolotta is their exclusive caterer so you know you’ll be eating good!

11. The Historic Pritzlaff Building

Oh how we love weddings at the Pritzlaff Building! In particular, we love its dramatically high ceilings, diversity in aesthetic and the experienced event staff. 12. The Loft on Broadway

The former Cuvee is under new ownership – the awesome folks from The Factory on Barclay are now running things at this hot spot. We are very excited about The Loft on Broadway and think #MKECouples are gonna love it too!

13. Black Swan Riverwalk

We’ve been to events at the Black Swan Riverwalk and the space is spectacular! A huge bonus is their access to the Milwaukee River and the Riverwalk.
