One of the best parts about our job is checking out the awesome wedding venues in Milwaukee. So we love it when a local vendor makes the investment to create a totally new, and totally customizable space. This is what local caterer, Shully’s Cuisine has done with their new venue space The Watermark.
Located in the heart of the charming Thiensville Village, The Watermark at Shully’s is a short 25 minute drive from downtown Milwaukee. With construction just finished on the 6,250 square foot facility, it’s ready and waiting for you to book your wedding.
Create Your Own Space at The Watermark
A huge benefit of using The Watermark as your wedding venue is the ability to create your own space. The venue was built with this in mind and features soft ivory paint and neutral, warm-grey carpet – a perfect backdrop for any colors and decor you choose. However, the space is beautiful without any modifications, so don’t worry if you don’t want a lot of extras.

A seated reception at The Watermark will fit about 350 people, and there’s room to expand outside. Smaller event? No worries – the venue can be tastefully sectioned off to create a smaller space.
Other features of The Watermark include beautiful chandeliers, which can be moved or replaced if they don’t fit your theme. The Shully’s team spared no expense with technology as well.
Inside you’ll find five 70 inch LED screens that can do live video feeds (i.e. for speeches) and can serve as screens for slideshows or videos. A zoned sound system and sectional, dimmable lighting hold all kinds of possibilities as well.
Extend Your Event Outdoors
The Shully’s space doesn’t stop indoors – make sure to incorporate the beautiful East Lawn into your big day. This outdoor space can extend your event and/or serve as the backdrop for your wedding ceremony.

Outdoor space includes a 40’x50′ patio and the newly landscaped Mill Pond, which makes a great spot for outdoor ceremonies. The pond has a fountain that can be lit up at night and the surrounding trees also have uplighting, making a spectacular evening retreat for your guests. You can also add a tent to the East Lawn, drastically expanding the space of the venue.
Other Amenities Included with Your Rental
Even though The Watermark is a great space to customize, you really don’t have to. Included with your rental are tables, chairs, white linens and dinnerware. Another amenity that makes The Watermark somewhat of a “one-stop-shop” is that the catering and bar service is all done by Shully’s.
Parking is also included with your rental. The Watermark has two lots that hold about 70 cars and they also work with valet and shuttle services to handle any overflow.
