We’ve been excited about this venue pretty much since we got into the wedding industry. The Ivy House has quickly become a favorite among the #MKECouples lucky enough to book it. And for good reason – the place is spectacular indoors and out.
But the biggest plus about the Ivy House is the owners – our good friends at Milwaukee Airwaves. We’ve known these guys since we started Married In Milwaukee and they are some of our favorite vendors in town.
All About The Ivy House
The Ivy House is located in the Fifth Ward of Milwaukee which includes the up and coming Harbor District and borders one of Milwaukee’s hottest neighborhoods, Walker’s Point. It is a modern, industrialized event space located in an urban warehouse and we LOVE it.
Curated using re-purposed wood bleacher board and live greenery gracing its presence throughout the space, the Ivy House has an open venue concept with tons of fun details making this venue unlike any other in Milwaukee. Throw in an expansive outdoor patio and bar perfect for outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hours and late night shenanigans, you can literally host all of your full wedding day activities in this beautiful space.
The sit down capacity at The Ivy House is 250+ (300+ cocktail style). Their outdoor patio has room to seat 340 people, making it perfect for hosting both your ceremony and reception.

Speaking of the patio, some couples choose to use it as a room flip / cocktail hour option should you use the main space of The Ivy House as your ceremony and dinner spot. The main space of The Ivy House has an awesome elevated, step-up stage, making it a perfect spot for ceremonies as well.
The Neighborhood – Restaurants, Bars and More
As mentioned, The Ivy House is in the Fifth Ward which includes the up-and-coming Harbor District and the super hot Walker’s Point neighborhood. Hip night spots are a quick jaunt should you and your guests want to continue the party after your wedding night is over.
Parking, Hotels and Shuttles
The Ivy House is also located super close to the Third Ward and Downtown making your Milwaukee hotel room block options pretty easy. There is ample street parking in the area, as well as a 40 car lot adjacent to The Ivy House that is available for you and your guests. Valet options are available as well and work perfect with the easily accessible loading area on the property.

With an alternative, yet upscale vibe, the Ivy House is ran by super nice people and is full of little “easter egg” surprises that further the support local movement that is so ingrained in Milwaukee. From Ivy House blend coffee from Valentine Coffee, to Big White Yeti Ivy House candles, and even coordinating green umbrellas for guests, the crew of the Ivy House is all about the details.
