Editor’s Note: As of August 2020 this venue is permanently closed. Please check out our other Milwaukee wedding venue listings.
When you walk in to The Garden (727 N. Milwaukee Street) you’ll be blown away by the design and lighting. But that’s not where the good stuff stops – the Milwaukee Street location and catering options are top notch.
The Garden, along with 3 other amazing venues, is part of our Top 4 New Venues article. Start off with an overview of The Garden in this video by Sikora Film Company:
Capacity and Configuration
The Garden is perfect for weddings with 150 guests or less. There’s also an option of using Lucid Light Lounge next door, but this will require a buy out.
The Garden is Far from Typical
You’ll know how unique the space is as soon as you walk in. Amazing design by Milwaukee’s own Flux Design and color-changing lights set it apart. Make sure to check it out at night to see the lights in action.

Another benefit of The Garden’s design is that you won’t have to decorate too much. They will also supply you with basic tables, chairs, linens and tableware as part of your rental fee.
Amazing Location on Milwaukee Street
If you’re a downtown-loving couple, you’ve most-likely been out on Milwaukee Street. Well, The Garden is right in the middle of it all. This is awesome for a variety of reasons, but we just love the energy it provides. This energy will excite your guests, make for some great photos and turn your wedding into the party you want.

Imagine you and your friends heading out after your reception to the multiple bars/clubs within walking distance. It’s also great for your out-of-town guests who can walk to their hotels (The Pfister and Hotel Metro are on the same block).
Catering from Top Milwaukee Restaurants
SURG Restaurant Group, owners of The Garden, also own and operate a variety of other hot Milwaukee restaurants. In fact, you’ll find several of them right on Milwaukee Street, such as Umami Moto, Carnevor and Distil.

And the best part is, you can utilize any of these restaurants to develop your catering menu. Love sushi? Umami Moto has you covered. In the mood for steak? Carnevor has some of the best steaks in the city.

Lucid Lounge is Next Door
If The Garden’s capacity of 160 doesn’t fit your wedding, there’s a possibility to expand into Lucid Light Lounge which is right next door. Keep in mind that Lucid is a club, and would require a buyout which could get pricey. However, the two spaces together could make a spectacular venue that will hold up to 450 people.
