All About The Fitzgerald
Located in Milwaukee’s Lower East Side neighborhood, The Fitzgerald is a gorgeous mansion built in 1874. The Fitzgerald was built by the infamous architect Edward Townsend Mix for ship captain Robert Patrick Fitzgerald — hence the Fitzgerald name.
Being a historic mansion, The Fitzgerald is filled with character and furnished with gorgeous furniture that is included for use in your event rental.
The mansion’s various upstairs rooms now serve as expansive getting ready spaces complete with unique photo opportunities, a place to relax and a spot to keep your stuff throughout your wedding day.
The Fitzgerald has partnered with highly-rated local companies to provide some exclusive services including All Occasions Catering as the dedicated caterer and Milwaukee Airwaves as their venue exclusive DJ.
The Fitzgerald considers 150 seated guests to be the sweet spot capacity, but they have space for 175 seated guests or 250 guests for cocktail reception if needed. Their outdoor terrace works well for ceremonies up to 125 people.

Catering at The Fitzgerald is exclusive and provided by the experts at All Occasions Catering. All Occasions offers a wide array of delicious food options from upscale sit down dinners, creative food stations and even BBQ from Bubb’s.
Fun fact — vintage china & serving ware exclusive to The Fitzgerald is available to use from All Occasions Catering.
Drinks & bar services are provided by Pabst Theater Group and can be customized to suite your palate including local beer & spirits and the development of custom cocktails. They can even fully stock your getting ready rooms for those wanting to pregame before the wedding.
Ceremony Options
The Fitzgerald has a multiple options available for outdoor and indoor ceremonies. The outdoor terrace, which is included in your rental, can seat 125 for ceremonies, while indoors can accommodate 200 guests.
Ceremony chairs are included in your rental and there is no additional charge for terrace ceremonies; however, room flips for the indoor ballroom between ceremony & reception incur a nominal fee.
Location, Parking and Hotels
The Fitzgerald is located in the hip & walkable Lower East Side neighborhood of Downtown Milwaukee. Historic Milwaukee hotels are located nearby, as are modern downtown Milwaukee hotels available for guest room blocks.
Located just three blocks from a Milwaukee streetcar stop – The Hop MKE – and blocks from Juneau Park overlooking Lake Michigan, The Fitzgerald is centrally located and sure to give your guests a memorable experience of Milwaukee.
Street parking can be a premium in this neighborhood, but the folks at The Fitzgerald have options for you including renting a 100 space parking lot 1.5 blocks away. They can also facilitate the booking of valet companies for your wedding.
