All About The Denizen
The Denizen is a bright & airy boutique event space located on Milwaukee’s west side – very close to downtown Milwaukee and Wauwatosa. The perfect venue for intimate and intentional events, The Denizen offers an open floor plan, stylish design and a gorgeous outdoor patio.
Amber, The Denizen’s owner, is a former venue manager and wedding planner and will help couples every step of the way with lots of planning & styling support.
Her eye for intentional design, leveraging the space’s natural light, and incorporation of modern décor & accents are showcased throughout the The Denizen. Even the restrooms are stylish at The Denizen.
Another cool part of The Denizen is its location – right across the street from the expansive Washington Park. The front windows of The Denizen overlook the park, and it’s also an amazing spot to take your wedding photos!
Perfect for intimate events, The Denizen can host 125 seated guests or 170 for a cocktail reception. And don’t forget about their huge outdoor patio, which can seat 150 guests for your wedding ceremony.
During your reception, the patio will become a favorite spot for you and your guests to socialize (weather dependent, of course). Insider Tip: hire a food truck and have them parked just outside the patio.

Catering and Drinks
The Denizen has a preferred catering list they will share with you, but you are free to use any licensed caterer you choose. However, make sure to check with them during booking as this may change.
We’ve been to events at The Denizen where a food truck is parked just outside the patio, making for a unique dinner or late night snack option. For traditional caterers, The Denizen offers a prep area with a private entrance, tables and outlets for warmers and equipment.
Ceremony Options
If you’re planning on having your wedding ceremony at The Denizen, we would highly encourage you to do it on their AMAZING patio! The patio has a capacity for 150 guests for your ceremony, and is included in your rental.
Location, Parking and Hotels
The Denizen is located on the West Side of Milwaukee, right across the street from the beautiful Washington Park (with its great photo opportunities). Minutes from Downtown Milwaukee and Wauwatosa – hotels, bars and clubs are a short Uber or Lyft ride away.
Guests who are driving to your wedding can park in a lot across the street with a path that leads to The Denizen’s front door. The lot has room for over 150 cars, and there’s also plenty of street parking available around the venue.
