We love new wedding venues, and The Atrium in Shorewood really blew us away. The venue is owned and operated by our friends at Hackbarth Hospitality Group, which is a huge plus.
We think the thing brides and grooms will really get excited about is the amazing, urban-chic interior and rooftop garden. Read more and check out the amazing photos below by Front Room Photography.
All About The Atrium
We were amazed when we first saw the Atrium space at their January 2017 launch party. It consists of two distinct areas – the main room on the first level and a rooftop garden.
The rooftop garden hosts an indoor/outdoor space with a full bar and front patio with a great view – perfect for a cocktail hour room flip!
The building is located in Shorewood close to the Capitol/Oakland intersection, which is an amazing area in Milwaukee for bars, restaurants, salons and retail, including the original Camp Bar.

The sit down capacity at The Atrium is 230 (300 cocktail style). Their garden rooftop can hold about 100 people standing or 40-50 chairs for an intimate ceremony.
However, if you have a larger group, we recommend doing your ceremony on the main level then using the rooftop garden for cocktails while the main room is prepped for your reception.

Catering and Drinks
The Atrium offers several options from their approved caterers list. https://soundbydesign.co/ has been in the industry for 20 years, they work with some of the best in town, so you’ll have plenty of amazing options to choose from.
The Atrium will provide bartenders and has several drink packages available. They are also willing to create custom packages and specialty cocktails to make your wedding unique. Another cool thing – they have a whole book of table wines that you can choose from.

Ceremony Options
You can either have your ceremony in the main level or on the rooftop garden. The garden space is for smaller, more intimate ceremonies of 50 – 100 guests. It’s recommended to have your ceremony on the main level and use the rooftop garden and attached bar and patio for your cocktail hour while they flip the main room. Use of the full rooftop accommodates your entire party for mingling.

Parking, Hotels and Shuttles
Being in Shorewood, The Atrium is very close to downtown and its hotels. In fact, the Atrium owners have a shuttle available to take care of your guests.
For parking, there are street spots and the Village Hall Lot, which is about one and a half blocks away and has 56 spaces. Make sure to check with the Village of Shorewood on any particular parking rules/regulations. Using a shuttle would be a great idea if you have guests staying in downtown hotels.

Working with Industry Experts
So we love the owners of this space and their story. They founded Sound By Design and more recently started the awesome Camp Bars around town (the Shorewood location is 3 blocks from The Atrium). Their experience in the industry will ensure a great experience if you choose The Atrium for your wedding venue.

So if you’re looking for an amazing wedding venue make sure to visit The Atrium in Shorewood! In addition to The Atrium, Hackbarth Hospitallity also owns and operates the beautiful Birch in East Tosa as well as the amazing VISA on Old World Third Street in Downtown Milwaukee..
