This couple, who’ve been sweethearts since high school, aimed to make their wedding a genuine celebration of their identities. To achieve this goal, they enlisted the help of some amazing vendors, including Saz’s Catering and their venue, South Second.
With the assistance of their vendors, they hosted a spectacular wedding at South Second for a little under $60,000. Take a look at their complete wedding cost breakdown, and be sure not to miss the “note from the couple” at the bottom.

A Note From The Couple
We asked the couple to tell us about their planning and budgeting process, and this is what they had to say:
The Rentals:
AJ and I have been together since we were in high school. We really wanted our wedding day to feel like a true celebration of who we are. We chose to incorporate rentals from Parker Drive and balloons from Sparkle and Twine to make the space feel warm, inviting, and cozy. The Photographer:
We also knew that we wanted to prioritize our photography because we realized that the pictures are the only thing that you can take with you. We spent a lot of time doing research to find a photographer who matched our energy. When we found Anna Page Photography, we knew we wanted to work with her right away. Her work spoke for itself, and we adored that she calls herself a story teller. We wanted to avoid as many of the staged photos as we could, and focus on pictures that really evoked deep emotion. The Catering:
Rather than focusing on a color or a theme for the wedding, the word we kept coming back to was authenticity. We truly wanted this celebration to embody who we are as people and as a couple. We put more of our budget into food and drinks because those are important to us in our day-to-day lives. We chose to have stations, where our guests would be able to choose from a variety of courses. We really loved that South Second is a Saz’s building, so everything was all included. It made it easier for planning rather than bringing in separate catering and drinks. It also allowed us to offer more variety and choice for the guests! Basically, we wanted everyone to be happy and find something that they loved throughout the day. South Second made planning a breeze!
Every single vendor we worked with was professional, kind, and helpful. I would absolutely book with each vendor again! We adored our Milwaukee wedding and would do it all again if we could 🙂
