The Cost Breakdown of a $21K Polish Center Wedding

April 2, 2014 by Greg Quigley

Polish Center Wedding
This beautiful wedding at the Polish Center of Wisconsin came in at just under $21K.

We are excited about this wedding that took place at the Polish Center of Wisconsin. Not only did the bride and groom plan it from afar (Phoenix, AZ), but they saw the value in hiring a great photographer in Reminisce Studio by Miranda & Adam. This made for some spectacular images and great memories!

This wedding came in at just under $21,000. The couple knew they wanted beautiful outdoor pictures, so they made a stop at Boerner Botanical Gardens. Food was another big aspect and the Polish Center’s caterer didn’t disappoint.

Comparing Wedding Costs

Remember that not all weddings are created equal, so be aware of this when comparing their costs. For example, this wedding only had 120 people at their wedding, which brought down their total costs. They also DIYed their programs, favors and decorations to help control costs.

Quick Facts:

  • Number of Guests: 120
  • Ceremony and Reception: Polish Center of Wisconsin
  • Total Costs: $20,877

A Note from the Bride and Groom

We asked the bride and groom to tell us about their planning and budgeting process, and this is what they had to say:

Planning our wedding was a lot of work – especially planning from afar (we live in Phoenix, AZ). We couldn’t have done it without the help of our parents who toured numerous venues and went to catering tastings –although we bet they loved trying different kinds of delicious foods!

One aspect of our wedding that we splurged on was our photography. We wanted to have beautiful pictures to remember our special day, and could not be happier with Reminisce Studio! They did a fabulous job and really captured some wonderful moments that we will enjoy every time we revisit our wedding day.

Another important part of our wedding was the food. Good food makes the event, and luckily, The Polish Center cooperates with only one caterer who had exceptional food as well as many options to suit anyone’s tastes.

We also chose to DIY our programs, favors, and decorations. Evan enjoyed designing the perfect program and Liz loved exploring her inner crafter. Not only did it save us some money, it also made our wedding much more personal since we took the time to tie each program, cut each tag, and fluff each pouf.

Although our planning process was, at times, difficult and overwhelming, our wedding was such a beautiful culmination of everything that we had worked, planned, and hoped for. We only wish it hadn’t gone by so fast! Happy planning!

Thank you SO much to Liz & Evan for saying such sweet things about our work! We absolutely loved getting to know the two of them, as well as capturing their engagement and wedding. They really did a fantastic job on all of the DIY elements, and everything came together just beautifully. It was such a joy seeing the two of them take in and enjoy every single part of their day. What a great pair!

Thank you, too, Married in Milwaukee, for featuring our photos and also writing these articles. We can only imagine how helpful they are to couples planning their wedding.

What a beautiful wedding! Love the grand exit through the sparklers! The photographs are outstanding – well worth the extra cost! May I ask who was used for the string quartet and were the bride and groom happy with them? Thanks! ~ Mary

So happy you enjoyed our photos, Mary! Thanks so much 😀 Evan’s mom arranged to have the quartette, so we don’t have the vendor name in our records. Wish we could help! Perhaps they let Married in Milwaukee know who they worked with?

      Thanks again 🙂
