If you’ve spent any time in the 3rd Ward in downtown Milwaukee, you may have noticed a mobile bar that always has people laughing and having a good time. Welcome to Milwaukee’s own Pedal Tavern.
The Pedal Tavern was brought to Milwaukee a few years ago and has expanded to having 5 “bike bars.” The Pedal Tavern runs from 10am – 10pm daily which works perfectly for starting the day or night out right for a bachelorette or bachelor party. I know I’ve done my fair share of being a “Woo Girl” and yelling at the lucky pedalers riding the Pedal Tavern during one of Milwaukee’s amazing summer nights.

What to Expect on the Pedal Tavern
If you aren’t familiar with the Pedal Tavern and how it works, here’s a brief description. Each “bike” features 10 pedal seats and 6 non-pedal seats. It is completely pedal-powered, but one outrageously fun staff member will do the steering.
When talking with the Pedal Tavern guys Derek and Ryan, bachelorette parties are some of their favorites, especially the creative theme-based ones. Picture an ’80s prom theme or an ugly bridesmaid dress party, incorporate your own music and prepare for a good time. Don’t worry if you’re not into themes, it’s not a requirement to have fun. While drinking is not yet allowed on board (they are working on this), many of the 28 bars to choose from on the route list within the 3rd Ward and Walker’s Point neighborhoods offer specials to all riders.
