We’ve been doing Married in Milwaukee almost seven years and this is the first time we’ve seen so many new venues pop up within a year. It’s an exciting time to be a Milwaukeean – and even a more exciting time to get married here! Read on for the newest Milwaukee wedding venues, and don’t forget to check out our Milwaukee wedding venue listings sorted by capacity.
1. Jan Serr Studio
Located on Milwaukee’s East Side, this newly renovated venue, Jan Serr Studio has beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows offering amazing panoramic views of Downtown and Lake Michigan. Add in an expansive outdoor balcony patio and catering by Saz’s, and this venue is one to add to your short list.

2. St. James 1868
St. James 1868, located Downtown, is a 150 year-old former church currently being renovated to keep historic details and while adding modern interiors. Two signature venues offer dedicated outdoor spaces, private bridal suite and groom’s room. It is unlike any venue in Milwaukee. Read more in our St. James 1868 article.

3. Good City Commons
Located in the ultra hot Bucks Arena District, Good City Commons is now open and available for private events in their newest space. We love everything about Good City, from their beer to their mission of doing good. Their newest space is sure to be a popular spot and close to plenty of hotel and entertainment options after your wedding night is done.

4. The Ivy House
The Ivy House has been a hugely popular venue on Married In Milwaukee and we couldn’t be more excited that it is open! Owned and operated by the fine folks at Milwaukee Airwaves, The Ivy House is a modern industrial event space located in an urban warehouse in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point / Harbor District.

5. Birch
Birch is the hottest new venue in Wawautosa! Located specifically in what the locals call East Tosa, it fills a much needed gap of hip and chic wedding venues on the West side of town. Owned by the great folks at Sound By Design, it is also connected to Camp Bar Tosa making your wedding’s after party a few steps away.

6. Story Hill Firehouse
Story Hill Firehouse is a unique, quaint and historic Milwaukee firehouse built in 1927. Owned and operated by the our awesome and extremely talented friends at Evenement Planning, we are excited for the venue love to keep spreading outside of downtown. 8. The Venue at Milwaukee Brewing Company
Located in a former Pabst Brewery building, The Venue at Milwaukee Brewing Company was designed to be the most modern, open-concept event space in Milwaukee and includes fun things like a rooftop deck, brewery and beer garden within the space. In partnership with Milwaukee Brewing Co., this is a super chic venue for Milwaukee beer lovers.

9. Saint Kate Art Hotel
Formerly operating as The Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Milwaukee, Saint Kate Art Hotel is scheduled to launch late Spring 2019. Still locally owned by The Marcus Hotel group, Saint Kate is an independent hotel and venue that will focus on celebrating the arts and the creative process. It is still anticipated to have large venue spaces available and we are super excited to check it out!

10. The Pavilion at Discovery World
The Pavilion at Discovery World is a welcome addition to the Discovery World campus. Complete with an expansive outdoor green space and patio and floor to ceiling glass windows allow for amazing views of Lake Michigan, Downtown Milwaukee and the Art Museum.

11. Dandy
A vintage furniture store first, venue second — Dandy is for the carefree couple who wants something gritty and unique. Owned by the super duper awesome couple Jess & Ryan (featured in the photo) and located in the westside’s hip and trendy Vliet Street, Dandy can be customized to any wedding, party, production shoot, business meeting — whatever you’re looking to do.

13. Barn at the Bog
The barn wedding trend is still holding strong in Wisconsin! If this is your aesthetic, definitely add The Barn at the Bog to your list! Located on The Bog golf course in Saukville (45 minutes outside Milwaukee), and being built from the ground up, it has the modern amenities including air conditioning and indoor restrooms, with the rustic feel of Wisconsin. Best of both worlds.

14. Black Swan (Rebranding as Riverwalk)
The Black Swan launched in early 2018 and is currently re-branding their venue to be named “Riverwalk.” This beautiful venue is located along the Milwaukee River with direct access to the amazing Third Ward Riverwalk and is close to many hot night spots. Per their website, the Black Swan group will also be opening Plant No. 4 and Bianco Room in Summer 2019. We are excited to check them out!

15. The Bowery
The Bowery Barn is located near one of Wisconsin’s most historic and holy spaces, The Basilica of Holy Hill in Richfield. It has become one of the Milwaukee area’s most sought after barn venues, so check them out!
