With a full floor dedicated to their wedding and event venue “The Mix,” a rooftop patio with awesome panoramic views of downtown Milwaukee, a full upscale restaurant and an intimate rehearsal dinner & cocktail space in their cellar, Central Standard has your wedding weekend covered.
The Mix at Central Standard Craft Distillery
Central Standard Craft Distillery is located a block north of the Historic Third Ward, in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Its venue “The Mix” is located on the second floor of Central Standard’s building and above their flagship restaurant — Central Standard Crafthouse & Kitchen.

Built in 1874 as The Wisconsin Leather Company, the venue’s name “The Mix” pays homage Edward Townsend Mix, the building’s architect who also designed the neighboring iconic Mackie Building (Grain Exchange) and Mitchell Building in Downtown Milwaukee.
Ample Cream City brick abounds in The Mix Space and historical elements were enhanced and embellished throughout the entire building by the Central Standard team.

We highly suggest getting a distillery tour which includes fun details about the building – be sure to inquire about a Distillery tour for your wedding guests too!
The Mix is an intimate wedding venue and while it has an official sit down capacity of 120, the event experts at Central Standard love sit down dinners of 80 or less, in particular if you make use of the rooftop for cocktail hour as the rooftop’s capacity is 88.

In-house catering is provided by Central Standard’s in-house restaurant — Central Standard Crafthouse & Kitchen — that provides a varying selection of unique catering options for weddings and events.
Ceremony & Rehearsal Options
Intimate ceremony options are available at Central Standard within The Mix space and are perfect for the laid back couple who wants a quick & easy ceremony leading into the party at your reception.
We highly recommend leveraging the amazing panoramic rooftop “The Aviary” for your cocktail hour (additional charge) between ceremony & reception. The views are sure to wow your guests!
A fun added bonus of Central Standard Craft Distillery’s building is its multiple spaces available for a rehearsal dinner. Whether The Mix venue for a larger rehearsal dinner (120 sit down capacity) or their intimate cellar “The Founder’s Room” (20 sit down dinner // 45 cocktails) it’s a great place to start your wedding party weekend.
Location, Parking and Hotels
Central Standard Craft Distillery is located in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee making it walking distance to ample hotels.
Central Standard also has a partnership with the parking lot adjacent to the building offering event guests a discount on parking. You can also check into your hotel’s shuttles and/or rent a bus to help transport your guests.

The Central Standard Craft Distillery building has a rich history in Milwaukee, and we couldn’t be more grateful to the founders, Evan Hughes & Pat McQuillan, for committing to saving, renovating and preserving The Mix building.
We seriously love Central Standard Craft Distillery and think that #MKECouples are gonna love it too! Stop in for a drink and check it out.
