A Note From The Couple
We asked the couple to tell us about their planning and budgeting process, and this is what they had to say:
Nic and I had a wedding mission of creating an unforgettable weekend for our family and friends. At the same time, we wanted to stay within our means. Sticking to this mission and prioritizing a few, key vendors helped us stick to our wedding budget.
The Venue:
We had a lot of family and friends from out-of-town and as a Milwaukee native, I wanted to show everyone how amazing this city is. As soon as we toured Bottle House 42 (formerly operated by F Street Hospitality), we knew it was a perfect fit for our wedding vision. The rooftop views of downtown, the large, beautiful space, and incredible staff made it a no-brainer decision for us. Being in the Brewery District was also a plus as we felt our guests were able to get a taste of what Milwaukee is about. The Caterer:
From a logistical standpoint, in-house catering through F-Street (Noble Catering) made the planning so much easier. Not to mention, we got so many compliments on our food. For all these reasons, we do not regret spending much of our budget on the venue. The Florist:
Belle Fiori flowers blew us away. I was having trouble creating a vision of my day because I could not find inspo photos that fit my vision. On the first meeting with Emily, she just got it. Not only did us determine exactly what we wanted for our day, she helped us figure out what we didn’t want. On the wedding day, we were blown away with what the team at Belle Fiore created for us. It validated our decision in picking a florist that we not only trusted, but enjoyed working with. Belle Fiori was worth every penny. The Photographer:
The proof is in the pudding with Autumn’s (Amarie Photography) work. She is incredible. Once we saw Autumns work and had our first phone call, we knew she was the one for us. We wanted timeless images that will live in our home for the rest of our lives. That is exactly what Autumn delivered. She captured both our wedding day and our engagement session so perfectly. The DJ:
The music at our wedding was a top priority for us, which is why we chose Soundsational DJs. I have known Bob, the owner, for many years as he teaches at my high school alma mater. Simply put, he knows how to get the party going. Not to mention, he is incredibly professional and kind.Overall, our wedding day was truly amazing. Milwaukee is such a special place to us and it was a privilege to host our family and friends in my home town. Thank you to our wedding vendors and to Married in Milwaukee for providing invaluable planning resources.
