Bridal Networking Nights Create a New Way to Find Vendors

March 27, 2013 by Greg Quigley

Sometimes the “way things have always been done” needs to change. This is one of our driving points behind Married In Milwaukee and we feel we’ve done this with our website. Now we wanted to take it to the next level – changing how brides connect with vendors on a face-to-face level.

Enter our Bridal Networking Nights, the first of which took place on Friday, March 22nd at KASANA.

Real Connections are King

Since the event only took place a few days ago, we don’t know the full extent of its success. However, our goal is to connect brides with vendors.

That being said, 80 percent of brides we surveyed said they planned on contacting a vendor they met at the event. This is good news and exactly what we want to happen. And with our anticipated changes, we’d like to get that number closer to 90-95 percent.

Are We On To Something?

While there are still some details to be ironed out, we think we are on to something. Even better, vendors and brides think we are on to something too.

Our initial feedback from the first event (via a survey sent to brides and vendors) was positive. We got some great advice on how to improve things and we are already working on incorporating this into our next event.

All About the Networking

Our Bridal Networking Nights are all about the networking. This means that as a bride or a vendor, you’re expected to go outside of your comfort zone and talk to people you don’t know.

Yes, we know this can be hard so we are working on solutions. Some awesome feedback gave us some great ideas that will make this easier.

Give Us Your Feedback

We’d love to hear your feedback. We have two surveys, one for brides/grooms and one for vendors. Please take a minute or two and fill them out if you haven’t already:

Hey David – just an FYI, someone asked KASANA for your contact info so I forwarded it on. Hope you get a booking out of it!
