This couple loves the outdoors and wanted their wedding to reflect their values and favorite things. We think they did a great job with their relaxed wedding at the beautiful Barn at Trinity Creek!
From a cost perspective, one thing to note is that this Cost Breakdown doesn’t include tips as well a couple other items. So while the total cost came in at just under $19k, we estimate it to be closer to $20k+. Also note that they DIYed a couple of items – the floral and hair/makeup, which saved them on those expenses.

A Note From The Couple
We asked the couple to tell us about their planning and budgeting process, and this is what they had to say:
Nick and I met serving in Haiti for a nonprofit organization and wanted our wedding to reflect our values + favorite things. We love Jesus, the outdoors, and being with friends and family so those are the things we prioritized for our Big Day!
We considered getting married downtown or the Third Ward but ended up finding the perfect venue in Lake Country that fit our laid-back vibe. The wide open space and diverse landscape at the Barn at Trinity Peak was a stunning backdrop for our outdoor ceremony. Because the ceremony was the most important part of our big day, we put a lot of thought into every detail from the worship songs we sang, to the notes we read to one another before our vows.
The Floral, Hair and Makeup:
The flowers were another detail we loved, and we arranged them ourselves – this ended up being one of our favorite things to do and a great way to cut cost! 😊 When it came to hair and makeup, the bride and bridesmaids did all their own which was a great way to bond and keep a more relaxed look.
One item we did splurge on was the 10 hour photography package with Stephanie Leigh Photography – she was incredible at capturing every emotion and moment of our big day; we love reliving it in all the photos. 💛
We are still in awe of how perfect everything came together and will cherish the memories of our wedding for years to come!
