We LOVE Walker’s Point. This area, just south of Downtown Milwaukee and the Third Ward, has continually been developing over the years and is now home to breweries, distilleries and some of Milwaukee’s hottest restaurants.

It also is host to a number of amazing event venues making it the perfect neighborhood to host your wedding and showcase Milwaukee to your guests. Read on for our list of Walker’s Point wedding venues:

1. South Second MKE

South Second is one of the newest venues to open in Walker’s Point. We love the modern and open feel of this venue and the street level exposure can’t be beat!

Quick Facts:

  • Capacity: 350 cocktail reception / 260 sit down dinner.
  • Catering: Saz’s Hospitality is the exclusive (and delicious) caterer.
  • Features: An outdoor patio, garage doors opening to the street level, and a 2nd floor mezzanine level balcony.

 

2. The Seeboth

The Seeboth (pronounced see-both), has ample Cream City brick and exposed ductwork, giving it a great urban warehouse feel. The space is managed by long time wedding veteran, Gary Ozuna, owner of Bartenders On The Go.

Added bonus, this building has become a wedding hub with Shannon Wucherer Photography, Milwaukee Airwaves and Robyn Vining Photography sharing space on the 4th floor of the Seeboth building. A block down the street is Relics Vintage Rentals allowing you get several of your vendors within walking distance.

3. Engine Company No. 3

By day, Engine Company No. 3 is one of Milwaukee’s hottest brunch spots. At night, it becomes an amazing two level space for your wedding! As a registered historic site, this former bi-level fire house is a perfect unique spot for events with two distinct, yet connected spaces.

4. Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. has been a huge favorite of #MKEBrides & #MKEGrooms wanting to show their guests a good time. A renovated factory turned coffee house, it also makes an awesome wedding venue.

5. Central Standard Distillery

Central Standard Distillery, located in the same building as Milwaukee Brewing Co., has been crafting up some delicious spirits and craft cocktails for anxious Milwaukeeans. Their tasting room boasts warm wood walls and includes garage doors that open up to the street. The space is perfect for rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, and other intimate parties.

6. The Iron Horse Hotel

Oh Iron Horse Hotel…so many great spaces exist in this one of a kind, world-renowned, boutique hotel. As the only hotel that currently exists in Walker’s Point, it is the perfect mix of unique event spaces and amazing rooms sure to impress your out-of-town guests.

  • Capacity: 56-150 sit down dinner / 200 cocktail reception; cocktail receptions in The Yard can hold up to 300 standing.
  • Catering: The Iron Horse has amazing food made onsite. One of their hotel restaurants – Smyth – is perfect for rehearsal dinners as well.
  • Features: An AMAZING lobby space with Cream City brick walls and exposed wood beams; one of the largest outdoor patios in Milwaukee; the only hotel in Walker’s Point.

8. Hot Water Wherehouse

The Wherehouse (aka Hot Water) is a venue and dance club located in the industrial portion of Walker’s Point. This venue is perfect for the couple who likes to party, but also offers a completely separate bar and lounge area for your guests who prefer quiet. It’s a win-win!

9. The Point MKE

The Point MKE is known for hosting many nonprofit events, but you can have your wedding there too! Added bonus, they recently opened The Sangria Bar, an outdoor oasis patio bar, including a waterfall and palm trees, (yes palm trees in MKE!). 10. The Pritzlaff

The Historic Pritzlaff Building is a major hub for awesome events in Milwaukee. Located just blocks north of Walker’s Point, there are four distinct and amazing venue spaces within the Pritzlaff Building. Fun fact, Miss Ruby Bridal Boutique is located here too!

The Harley-Davidson Museum is located just across the Menomonee River from Walker’s Point so we just had to include it on this list! Not only is the H-D Museum ultimately Milwaukee, it is located on a 20 acre peninsula complete with a riverwalk providing ample photo opportunities featuring nature, industrial backdrops, and urban landscapes. Outdoor spaces are also available for your ceremony too!
