We’ll don’t worry – here is MarriedInMilwaukee.com’s list of the top 5 wedding reception favors that are sure to be a hit at your wedding:
Wedding Reception Timeline – What Happens When?
You’ve probably been to dozens of wedding receptions, but it’s hard to know what is supposed to happen when at your own Milwaukee wedding. Relax, this wedding reception timeline maps it out for you so you don’t have to. We use a timeline that starts at zero so you can insert your own times for planning purposes.
Party Picture Booth – Wedding Photo Booth
Just went to a wedding that had a “Party Picture Booth”, where guest could go in and take pictures of themselves for the bride and groom. After the pictures come out, there was a scrap book where the guest could glue their pictures and write a note to the bride and groom.
Budget Wedding Centerpieces
We did double duty for the wedding rehearsal and reception decorations. We purchased rose bunches from Pick’n Save and vases from TJ Maxx for decorations at the rehearsal dinner. Then we used the same vases for the wedding bouquets at the reception. We then removed the rose petals the next day to use as part of the centerpieces on each table.
Weddings at the The Astor Hotel
We had our wedding reception at the Astor Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. The Astor has a ballroom that’s filled with old world charm and we loved it. We didn’t do a sit down dinner, but instead did a cocktail reception where the food was served in stations and our guests could eat whenever they wanted. This made the reception more social and gave us more time to socialize with our guests.
Klemmer’s Banquet Center
This post is from a good friend of ours: We had our wedding reception at Klemmer’s Banquet Center on Oklahoma- just off of I94. The food was excellent and the prices are very reasonable- everything was well organized and they set up many of the table decorations based on our instructions- I would definitely recommend this location to others.
Lakefront Brewery Palm Gardens
Just went to a unique place for a wedding reception, the Lakefront Brewery Palm Gardens. Here’s the link to their info/prices: http://www.lakefrontpalmgarden.com/Banquets—Weddings.html
The building is a unique, old brewery on Milwaukee’s east side and the food was great.
Choosing a Milwaukee Reception Hall
When we got engaged, we already had the church and our next step was to choose a Milwaukee reception hall. We wanted our reception to be in or around downtown Milwaukee, so that helped narrow our choices a little.
