Here’s an interesting graphic from BridalPop stating that the average Milwaukee wedding cost $14,687. this is way cheaper than many other places in the country!! Look at San Francisco…$45K!!!

Last month, I undertook a most fortuitous task. I did my own wedding flowers. You see, I live in a rural part of the country and was having a wedding far from the city lights and most florists. I did locate a city florist willing to drive 3 hours to setup my wedding flowers for my special day, but 2 weeks before the actual event, my florist called to tell me the florist business was being closed due to the poor economic environment and needed to cancel our arrangement. I then frantically tried locating another florist but to no avail.
For some Milwaukee brides and grooms, the cost of their wedding isn’t an issue. For the rest of us, we try and save money anywhere we can. A good place to start is with your reception hall – make sure to talk to your hall’s manager about any hidden costs that might pop up and how to avoid them. There are plenty of ways to save on your Milwaukee wedding, but timing is an essential element of getting a great bargain for your cheap wedding. If you’ve got the time, can you work ahead, then choosing the right time of year, month or day can make a huge difference to how much you can save.
We did double duty for the wedding rehearsal and reception decorations. We purchased rose bunches from Pick’n Save and vases from TJ Maxx for decorations at the rehearsal dinner. Then we used the same vases for the wedding bouquets at the reception. We then removed the rose petals the next day to use as part of the centerpieces on each table.
In planning a Milwaukee wedding, specifically a budget conscience one, decisions are made regarding what is important to you. Basically, you prepare a “must have, great to have, nice to have” list.
