We held a great wedding right in the city (actually in our neighborhood at the time). Our church is in the Downer Ave. area (
read review), and we had our reception at the Astor Hotel.
One of the most unique things about our wedding was our music. We had every thing from Alica Keys to Led Zeppelin. Once we were pronounced man and wife, the first song to play was "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Led Zeppelin.
Our reception was a "cocktail" reception, so we had food stations with small plate dinning...it worked well since we wanted more of a party atmosphere.
