We held a great wedding right in the city (actually in our neighborhood at the time). Our church is in the Downer Ave. area (read review), and we had our reception at the Astor Hotel.

One of the most unique things about our wedding was our music. We had every thing from Alica Keys to Led Zeppelin. Once we were pronounced man and wife, the first song to play was "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Led Zeppelin.

Our reception was a "cocktail" reception, so we had food stations with small plate dinning...it worked well since we wanted more of a party atmosphere.

CHURCH: Lake Park Lutheran, Milwaukee, WI

RECEPTION: Astor Hotel Ballroom

DRESS: David's Bridal

TUXES: After Hours, Southridge Mall (first floor)

PHOTOGRAPHY: LeAnn Marquart (Greg's Cousin)

We went to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. It's an old fishing village, turned tourist town and is right down the coast from Cancun.

Playa is a fun spot...great bars and restaurants on 5th Ave., their tourist zone. But the really good food was outside of the tourist zone in the actual city...we found some great places to eat in the city.
