I was recently exposed to an awesome engagement video made by Milwaukee’s own Champagne Studios. To be honest, I had never seen an engagement video like this before, but as I watched, I couldn’t believe how cool it was. Not only did I feel like I was watching an amazing music video – once the film ended, I felt I had been given insight into this couple’s love for each other without ever meeting them.
Many couples are constantly trying to find ways to weave aspects of their lives into their their wedding. Engagement videos that are skillfully produced can be the ultimate glimpse into you and your fiance’s love for each other. You can tell the story of how you met, how you fell in love, and your thoughts about your future lives together. All this while entertaining everyone who watches it, including your wedding guests.
How An Engagement Video Works
Before filming you will sit down with the group at Champagne Studios. This lets you give your thoughts about the project and allows the team to get to know you. After your meeting, Craig, the cinematography expert, will develop a storyboard for how your engagement video will be made. This may include incorporating certain locations, outfits, screen shots, etc. The couple then gives their input and the final storyboard is developed. Then the filming begins – talk about feeling like a movie star!
As I continue to meet such awesome, talented and creative Milwaukee wedding vendors it makes me want to go back in time and redo some aspects of my own wedding. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my wedding, but having an engagement video of this caliber is definitely something I would of done. While capturing your wedding wedding day on film can be very important to couples, one advantage of an engagement film is its ability to capture the emotional high you both feel once getting engaged. You are beginning a journey of love with the person you plan on spending the rest of your life with – it’s such an amazing time to be captured on film and frozen in time for you to look at later in life.
