Subject: Unique and Inexpensive Wedding Favors
Content: In planning for a United Way event at work, I decided to order fortune cookies that have a United Way of Milwaukee fact on them. The plan is to take two cookies, place them in a bag or colorful cellophane, attach a message to the bag, and distribute them to my department. This got me thinking that it would be a great idea for wedding favors. I ordered the cookies from www.goodfortunecookies.com and received the cookies within about 5 business days. I am extremely happy with the purchase. I ordered 300, and my total with shipping was $53. They even shipped me a few extra, I would assume in case some broke during shipping (which only 1 did). Best part is, you can add up to 17 messages with an order of 300 (which is the minimum. Most of the other websites I researched were very restrictive with the number of messages you could order (average around 3 messages), and cost went up with each additional message. To dress these up, if you wanted to, I could see opening up the packages and dipping them in dark / white chocolate and adding sprinkles - maybe even the wedding theme color. I don't plan on doing that, but I did see other websites that suggested doing that part on your own. Has anyone ever tried dipping cookies? I never have, so I'm not sure what type of chocolate would work best. I'd like to know because I could see using this idea as part of a general event as well.
